::Devotional:: ‘Thankful For Reconciliation’

November 24, 2010

I’m big on the Bible.  If you visit The Journey very often you probably already know that.  In this Thanksgiving season, I wonder what verse(s) you are thankful for?

This morning I am thankful for reconciliation.

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.  2 Corinthians 5:18-21

How about you?  What passages of scripture are you thankful for this morning?

-Stay Rooted Col. 2:7-

    Tony, Thanks for sacrificing your time and writing your devotion. It is what I need most days. I am thankful for lots of verses in the Bible, but the one that I am most thankful for is John 3:16. God loved me enough to send His Son to die for my sins and give me eternal life with Him. Wishing you and Leigh Ann a Happy Thanksgiving. Praying for little Maverick.
